Software Engineer, Intern (Summer 2024)

The job overview for this position is that Sentry is seeking Software Engineering Interns who will have the opportunity to work on real projects and write code that will be shipped to production. The interns will be matched with either the Product or Infrastructure Engineering teams based on their interests and experience. They will design, develop, and ship programming solutions that provide value to customers, and will have the chance to contribute to an open-source project. The role emphasizes mentorship, learning from world-class engineers, and being part of a modern software development team that iterates and ships code rapidly.

• Be matched with one of our Product or Infrastructure Engineering teams, based on your interests and experience
• Design, develop, and ship a programming solution that drives real values to customers (and if time permits, write about it on our blog)
• Act on feedback, coaching, and mentorship from your manager and teammates
• Currently enrolled in an undergraduate or post-graduate degree program in Computer Science (or similar)
• At least 1 previous internship or equivalent practical experience
• Experience with Python, Javascript, or a similar dynamic programming language through internships, personal projects (GitHub), or coding competitions
• Know the fundamentals of algorithms and data structures
• Willing to relocate to Toronto for the duration of your internship (we'll get you here and provide a housing stipend)

• Currently enrolled in an undergraduate or post-graduate degree program in Computer Science (or similar)
• At least 1 previous internship or equivalent practical experience

• Knowledge of the fundamentals of algorithms and data structures
• Willing to relocate to Toronto for the duration of the internship (housing stipend provided)

• Base salary range of $51.88 CAD per hour
