About The Position

This role focuses on designing, maintaining, and owning a robust data streaming and messaging architecture, specifically our near real-time data streaming platform. The engineer will act as a technical liaison to align data strategies with business goals, overseeing the entire data landscape from ingestion to consumption. This includes developing and maintaining data pipelines, enhancing data models, and refining API layers to solve complex data challenges with scalable and maintainable technical solutions.

Requirements

Demonstrates experience with real-time data systems
Relational table modeling and Event driven pipeline architecture
Working familiarity with SQL: Query Performance Analysis, Optimization, and Construction
Python Proficiency: Advanced proficiency coding in python

Nice To Haves

Bachelor’s or Master’s Degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related technical field
3-5 years of Software Engineering experience, with a preference for backgrounds in event-driven architecture or real-time data streaming
Demonstrated interest or experience in the freight and logistics industry, with a keen understanding of its data-driven challenges and opportunities.
Strong foundation in data analytics and big data technologies, with the ability to leverage these skills to drive insights and operational efficiencies.
