Software Engineer - Infrastructure, Data Platform
About The Position
This role focuses on designing, maintaining, and owning a robust data streaming and messaging architecture, specifically our near real-time data streaming platform. The Software Engineer will act as a technical liaison to ensure data strategies align with business goals. Responsibilities include managing the entire data landscape, from near real-time data ingestion and processing to efficient data consumption. The engineer will collaborate with data stakeholders to solve complex data challenges, transforming them into scalable and maintainable technical solutions, which involves developing and maintaining data pipelines, enhancing data models, and refining API layers.
Requirements
- Demonstrates experience with real-time data systems
- Relational table modeling and Event driven pipeline architecture
- Working familiarity with SQL: Query Performance Analysis, Optimization, and Construction
- Python Proficiency
- Advanced proficiency coding in python
Nice To Haves
- Bachelor’s or Master’s Degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related technical field
- 3-5 years of Software Engineering experience, with a preference for backgrounds in event-driven architecture or real-time data streaming
- Demonstrated interest or experience in the freight and logistics industry, with a keen understanding of its data-driven challenges and opportunities.
- Strong foundation in data analytics and big data technologies, with the ability to leverage these skills to drive insights and operational efficiencies.
