About The Position

As a Software Development Engineer in Test, you will help strengthen the quality, reliability, and release confidence of business-critical web applications and REST APIs. You will design and maintain scalable test automation frameworks, lead end-to-end test planning, and evaluate results to uncover defects, assess risk, and improve testing coverage. Working across geographically distributed teams, you will help define quality standards, acceptance criteria, and practical test strategies for complex initiatives with concurrent releases. You will apply Problem Solving, Risk Assessment, and Cross-Functional Collaboration to make informed testing decisions, investigate root causes, and support continuous improvement. Your work will also include integrating automated tests into delivery pipelines, maintaining test environments and data, and sharing automation and testing practices with developing engineers.

Requirements

  • 3+ years of experience in Quality Assurance engineering
  • 2+ years of experience developing and executing performance scripts and maintaining automation frameworks for web services and database testing
  • Experience designing and maintaining test automation frameworks using Java and Selenium
  • Experience testing REST APIs and web applications
  • Experience with open-source automation tools such as Karate, SOATest, or Selenium
  • Experience using GitHub or Bitbucket and integrating automated tests into continuous delivery pipelines
  • Experience with Agile development practices, exploratory testing, defect analysis, and test case management
  • Ability to perform Risk Assessment, investigate complex defects, and make informed quality decisions

Nice To Haves

  • Experience with Splunk, Postman, or Mabl
  • Experience with service virtualization and test data management
  • Experience managing test environments for end-to-end and regression testing
  • Experience balancing multiple quality initiatives and concurrent releases across distributed teams
  • Ability to contribute to code reviews and collaborate with software engineering, product, and delivery partners
  • Experience mentoring SDETs or quality assurance engineers and sharing testing practices
