About The Position

The Software Engineer III plays a critical role in designing, developing, and delivering scalable software solutions by collaborating with cross-functional teams including product management and user experience. This position involves troubleshooting complex issues, performing root cause analysis, and ensuring high-quality code through rigorous testing and continuous integration practices. The role requires managing projects of varying complexity, providing technical guidance to small engineering groups, and driving innovation through iterative development. The engineer ensures solutions meet business needs while maintaining security, performance, and sustainability throughout the software lifecycle. Immigration Sponsorship support will NOT be available for this position. The team supports OPD E2E initiatives and LMD by collaborating across product management, project management, and business units to deliver high-quality software solutions. Members engage in design, development, testing, and troubleshooting to ensure scalable, maintainable, and secure applications. The team emphasizes continuous development, iterative delivery, and technical excellence, leveraging skills in API design, platform development, and generative artificial intelligence. It fosters a collaborative environment focused on meeting business needs, driving innovation, and maintaining operational efficiency while adhering to established standards and best practices.

Requirements

  • Proven expertise in object-oriented programming and software design principles.
  • Strong technical acumen with experience in API design, platform development, and component services.
  • Demonstrated ability to deliver iterative and incremental development in agile environments.
  • Proficiency in debugging, dev testing, and continuous integration/continuous delivery practices.
  • Experience creating documentation-based code and implementing telemetry features.
  • Ability to analyze requirements, perform root cause analysis, and develop sustainable technical solutions.
  • Skilled in collaborating with cross-functional teams to ensure on-time delivery and quality outcomes.
  • Knowledge of emerging technologies including generative artificial intelligence and automation scripting.
  • Bachelor's degree in computer science, computer engineering, computer information systems, software engineering, or related area and 2 years’ experience in software engineering or related area.
  • OR 4 years’ experience in software engineering or related area.

Responsibilities

  • Collaborate with product, project, business, and user experience teams to develop high-level designs for small to medium projects.
  • Analyze and troubleshoot production and business issues, performing root cause analysis and developing effective solutions.
  • Translate project requirements into technical solutions, conduct coding, unit testing, and ensure timely delivery.
  • Support users by addressing technical questions and guiding implementation strategies.
  • Lead and mentor small engineering groups, providing documentation, direction, and timelines.
  • Develop automation scripts for CI/CD processes and implement telemetry features.
  • Monitor application performance, conduct maintenance, and evaluate change requests for feasibility.
