The Software Engineer III will participate in the discovery phase of small to medium-sized projects, developing high-level designs in collaboration with product management, project management, business, and user experience teams. This role involves troubleshooting business and production issues, performing root cause analysis, engaging support teams, developing solutions, and creating action plans. The engineer will manage small to large-sized complex projects, translating requirements into technical solutions, conducting unit testing, communicating status, and ensuring on-time delivery. Support will be provided to the business by responding to user questions and issues, identifying solutions, and guiding users. The role includes preparing requirement traceability matrices, contributing to user stories, and creating/configuring code that meets business and technical requirements, including non-functional requirements like maintainability, availability, and scalability. The engineer will assist in selecting appropriate development tools and languages, learn new coding languages and frameworks, build automation scripts for CI/CD and testing, implement telemetry features, and ensure security policy compliance. Testing responsibilities include mapping customer requirements to test objectives, creating and executing test cases, and performing various types of testing. Defect management involves tracking, analyzing, and performing regression testing. The role also includes troubleshooting performance and availability bottlenecks, conducting maintenance procedures, monitoring application performance, analyzing logs and data, and evaluating change requests. A DevOps orientation is expected, including maintenance and re-engineering activities.
