About The Position

The Software Engineer III will coordinate, complete, and oversee job-related activities and assignments by developing and maintaining relationships with key stakeholders. This role involves supporting plans and initiatives to meet customer and business needs, identifying and communicating goals and objectives, building accountability for and measuring progress in achieving results, identifying and addressing improvement opportunities, and demonstrating adaptability and promoting continuous learning. The engineer will be responsible for requirement and scoping analysis, coding, testing, defect management and troubleshooting, DevOps orientation, and program monitoring.

Requirements

  • Master's degree or the equivalent in Computer Science, Computer Information Systems, Computer Engineering, or a related field; OR Bachelor's degree or the equivalent in Computer Science, Computer Information Systems, Computer Engineering, or a related field, plus 2 years of experience in software engineering or related experience.
  • Designing and implementing REST API automation using Java with Cucumber and Serenity BDD.
  • Developing test automation frameworks with Selenium WebDriver for UI and backend testing.
  • Building and testing microservices using Spring Boot, Spring Batch, Spring Cloud, and Spring Security.
  • Performing REST API testing and mocking using Postman and Swagger.
  • Integrating automated tests into CI/CD pipelines using Jenkins.
  • Web automation using Selenium WebDriver with Java, C#, and Maven.
  • Mobile testing and element identification using Appium Inspector.
  • Validating message flows in distributed systems using Apache Kafka.
  • Tracking tasks, bugs, and test plans using JIRA and documenting in Confluence.
  • Applying Agile/Scrum methodology for test planning, execution, and team collaboration.
  • Scripting and backend support on UNIX/Linux systems.
  • Unit and integration testing using JUnit, Mockito, and HTML.

Responsibilities

  • Creates/configures minimalistic code for entire component/application and ensures components meet business/technical requirements, non-functional requirements, low-maintainability, high-availability and high-scalability needs.
  • Assists in the selection of appropriate languages, development standards and tools for software coding/configuration.
  • Takes the initiative to learn the fundamentals of different coding languages and frameworks.
  • Builds scripts for automation of repetitive and routine tasks in CI/CD, Testing or any other process.
  • Implements telemetry features as required independently.
  • Ensures security policy requirements are properly applied to components/application during code development/configuration.
  • Maps customer requirements into test objectives.
  • Identifies and creates test cases for the component/module.
  • Executes test cases to test the code and detect errors and defects.
  • Executes different types of testing using appropriate testing tools.
  • Tracks and analyzes defects for the component/module and carries out regression testing to fix defects.
  • Analyzes defects from past projects/solutions to avoid recurrence.
  • Troubleshoots performance and availability bottlenecks for the application.
  • Conducts complex maintenance procedures for applications independently.
  • Monitors and evaluates the performance of the application by tracking and analyzing appropriate metrics.
  • Performs maintenance (corrective, adaptive, perfective) and re-engineering activities.
  • Analyzes application logs, maintenance activity data, performance data and provides analysis.
  • Evaluates change requests to identify those which are valid and feasible.
  • Ensures adherence to the project against approved milestones and timelines.
