About The Position

This role involves coordinating, completing, and overseeing job-related activities and assignments. The Software Engineer III will develop and maintain relationships with key stakeholders, support plans and initiatives to meet customer and business needs, and identify and address improvement opportunities. The position requires adaptability and the promotion of continuous learning. Key responsibilities include requirement and scoping analysis, preparing traceability matrices, contributing to user stories, reviewing coding standards, and creating minimalistic code for components and applications to meet business and technical requirements, including non-functional requirements like low-maintainability, high-availability, and high-scalability. The engineer will also assist in selecting appropriate languages and tools, build automation scripts for CI/CD, testing, and other processes. Testing responsibilities include test case preparation, execution, and root cause analysis. Defect management and troubleshooting involve tracking, analyzing defects, performing regression testing, and troubleshooting performance and availability bottlenecks. The role also has a DevOps orientation, requiring the use of various operating systems, maintenance tools, monitoring and debugging tools, and conducting complex maintenance procedures independently. Program monitoring includes reviewing metrics and ensuring adherence to project milestones and timelines.

Requirements

• Master's degree or the equivalent in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Computer Information Systems, Software Engineering or related field; OR Bachelor's degree or the equivalent in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Computer Information Systems, Software Engineering, or related field plus 2 years of experience in software engineering or related experience.
• Designing and developing RESTful APIs for web applications using Flask, java.
• Front-end development for implementing responsive UI/UX using HTML5, CSS3, and Bootstrap.
• Problem solving and debugging skills for resolving complex code issues.
• Developing and optimizing back-end services for high-performance applications.
• Designing and optimizing SQL and NoSQL databases to improve query performance, data retrieval speed, and scalability for high-traffic applications.
• Ensuring cross-platform compatibility and optimizing web application performance by implementing efficient routing and database indexing.
• Implementing role-based access control and authentication in web applications.
• Implementing data synchronization between front-end and back-end services.
• Writing unit tests to ensure application reliability and reduce post-release issues.

Responsibilities

• Coordinates, completes, and oversees job-related activities and assignments by developing and maintaining relationships with key stakeholders.

• Performs requirement and scoping analysis, including creating traceability matrices and maintaining traceability between business requirements, functional requirements, design, and test cases.
• Contributes to the creation of user stories for component/module/simple requirements.
• Reviews coding standards and guidelines, coding languages (JavaScript, Python, C#), frameworks, tools, platforms, quality, safety, and security standards, and emerging tools and technologies.
• Creates/configures minimalistic code for entire component/application, ensuring components meet business/technical requirements, non-functional requirements, low-maintainability, high-availability, and high-scalability needs.
• Assists in the selection of appropriate languages (JavaScript, Python, C#) and development standards and tools for software coding/configuration.
• Builds scripts for automation of repetitive and routine tasks in CI/CD, Testing, or any other process.
• Prepares and executes test cases to test code and detect errors and defects for the entire component.
• Tracks and analyzes defects for the component/module and carries out regression testing to fix defects.
• Analyzes defects from past projects/solutions to avoid recurrence.
• Troubleshoots performance and availability bottlenecks for the application.
• Conducts complex maintenance procedures for applications independently.
• Monitors and evaluates the performance of the application by tracking and analyzing appropriate metrics.
• Performs maintenance (corrective, adaptive, perfective) and re-engineering activities.
• Analyzes application logs, maintenance activity data, performance data and provides analysis.
• Evaluates change requests to identify those which are valid and feasible.
• Reviews program metrics and program reporting, logging tools and processes, and CI/CD to ensure adherence to the project against approved milestones and timelines.
