The Software Engineer III will participate in the discovery phase of small to medium-sized projects, developing high-level designs in collaboration with product management, project management, business, and user experience teams. This role involves troubleshooting business and production issues through root cause analysis, engaging support teams, developing solutions, and creating action plans. The engineer will manage complex projects by translating requirements into technical solutions, researching alternatives, and ensuring value to the business. Responsibilities include writing and developing code, conducting unit testing, communicating status, collaborating with teams, and ensuring on-time delivery. The role also provides support to the business by responding to user questions and issues, identifying solutions, and guiding users. Additionally, the engineer will prepare requirement traceability matrices, contribute to user stories, and create/configure code to meet business and technical requirements, including non-functional aspects like maintainability, availability, and scalability. They will assist in selecting appropriate development tools and languages, learn new coding languages and frameworks, build automation scripts for CI/CD and testing, implement telemetry features, and ensure security policy compliance. In testing, the engineer will map customer requirements to test objectives, create and execute test cases, and perform various types of testing. Defect management includes tracking, analyzing, and performing regression testing, as well as analyzing past defects to prevent recurrence. The role also involves troubleshooting performance and availability bottlenecks, conducting maintenance procedures, monitoring application performance, evaluating change requests, and performing re-engineering activities.
