About The Position

As a Software Engineer III on the Walmart International Operations engineering team, you will be at the forefront of building Omni-channel transactional systems (Cart, Checkout, Payments and Promotions) for both eCommerce and store customers. This role involves playing a crucial part in the implementation of multi-tenant, and transactional services for global customers. The team collaborates with Walmart International, which operates over 5,900 retail units across various banners and countries. Immigration Sponsorship support will NOT be available for this position.

Requirements

  • Ability to understand a business requirement and convert it into a working low-level design.

  • Option 1: Bachelor's degree in computer science, computer engineering, computer information systems, software engineering, or related area and 2 years’ experience in software engineering or related area.
  • Option 2: 4 years’ experience in software engineering or related area.

Responsibilities

  • Working with product to understand requirements, create low-level design, and implement solutions.
  • Collaborating with other dependent teams to ensure low-level designs satisfy their requirements.
  • Adopting and working within a TDD/Shift-left test approach.
  • Debugging current code and integrating new functionalities while ensuring both new and existing use cases function as expected.
  • Developing comprehensive use cases for customer functionalities.
  • Delivering solutions rapidly without compromising code or functional quality.
  • Implementing multi-agent workflows using Agentic Frameworks like LangChain, LangGraph, CrewAI, or AutoGen.
  • Developing custom tool-calling capabilities for agents to interact with external APIs, databases, and SaaS tools.
