Software Engineer III - MDM

JPMorgan Chase & Co.•Chicago, IL
•$114,000 - $155,000

About The Position

As a Software Engineer III at JPMorgan Chase within the Commercial and Investment Bank, you will serve as a seasoned member of an agile team, designing and delivering trusted, secure, stable, and scalable technology products. You will develop critical technology solutions across multiple technical areas and business functions in support of firm objectives. The role focuses on designing and building full-stack Java solutions for CIB use cases across AWS and private cloud; maintaining master data models for key domains; creating scalable data ingestion and distribution pipelines and APIs; and developing CI/CD and machine-learning pipelines for knowledge graphs. You will also build infrastructure-as-code processes for resilient, performant AWS environments and collaborate with the Commercial Bank Data Platform team to use existing data assets and drive creation of additional assets. You will produce architecture and design artifacts for complex applications and ensure software meets design constraints. The role also involves using enterprise-authorized AI-assisted development tools responsibly to improve code quality, delivery speed, and productivity, while validating outputs through review, testing, and secure coding practices.

Requirements

  • Formal training or certification in software engineering concepts and at least 3 years of applied experience.
  • Hands-on practical experience in system design, application development, testing, and operational stability.
  • Experience in Java full-stack development and advanced SQL development.
  • Expertise with Java, Python, JavaScript, React, Spring, and related software engineering platforms and frameworks.
  • Experience with AWS environments, including EC2, ASG, Lambda, EKS, RDS, and Code Deploy.
  • Experience developing APIs that use different back-end data stores, such as RDS, graph databases, and DynamoDB.
  • Experience with end-to-end, fully automated CI/CD pipelines using frameworks such as Jules, Spinnaker, or Code Deploy.
  • Hands-on experience with enterprise-authorized AI-assisted software development tools and the ability to critically evaluate, validate, and refine generated outputs for correctness, performance, and security.
  • Understanding of responsible AI use in engineering workflows, including data sensitivity, secure handling of inputs and outputs, and resiliency and security expectations.
  • Overall knowledge of the software development lifecycle.
  • Solid understanding of agile methodologies and practices such as CI/CD, application resiliency, and security.
