About The Position

DPP is seeking a Software Engineer III for an opportunity with our client in the Aerospace and Defense Manufacturing industry. This is a 12-month W2 contract role located onsite in Camarillo, CA. The position requires US Citizenship and a current/active Secret security clearance. The role involves developing embedded real-time system software within an Agile scrum team environment. Responsibilities include resolving software and system defects, collaborating with customers and internal teams, and participating in peer reviews and technical meetings. Project-dependent tools include Rational Clear Case, ClearQuest, DOORS, Git, Bitbucket, Jira, and Confluence. Programming languages and environments used are Ada, C/C++, C#, Python, Green Hills Integrity RTOS, Windows, and Linux.

Requirements

  • BS degree in a STEM field (Science, Technology, Engineering, Math) with 5 years of experience; or MS degree in a STEM field (Science, Technology, Engineering, Math) with 3 years of experience.
  • Experience with a higher order language such as Ada, C/C++, C#.
  • Knowledge of object-oriented software development.
  • Ability to function as a member of an integrated team.
  • Experience with version control systems (e.g. git, Bitbucket, ClearCase, etc.).
  • US Citizenship required.
  • DoD Secret Clearance or higher, interim Secret is acceptable.
