About The Position

As a Software Engineer III at Walmart, you will lead the design and development of scalable software solutions by collaborating with cross-functional teams including product management and user experience. Requirements

  • Proven expertise in object-oriented programming and Java, with strong technical acumen in platform design and API development.
  • Proven expertise in frontend programming with React and React Native
  • Experience in iterative and incremental development, including continuous integration and delivery practices.
  • Ability to analyze and translate business requirements into scalable, maintainable software solutions.
  • Skilled in debugging, defect management, and root cause analysis to ensure high-quality deliverables.
  • Familiarity with documentation-based coding and test case creation to support robust software testing.
  • Demonstrated capability to lead small engineering teams and collaborate cross-functionally.
  • Bachelor's degree in computer science, computer engineering, computer information systems, software engineering, or related area and 2 years’ experience in software engineering or related area.
  • 4 years’ experience in software engineering or related area.

Nice To Haves

  • Knowledge of generative artificial intelligence and component services is a plus.
  • Master’s degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Computer Information Systems, Software Engineering, or related area
  • Background in creating inclusive digital experiences, demonstrating knowledge in implementing Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.2 AA standards, assistive technologies, and integrating digital accessibility seamlessly.

Responsibilities

  • Collaborate with product, project, business, and user experience teams to define high-level design and technical solutions for projects.
  • Develop, test, and maintain scalable, secure, and high-quality code following coding standards and best practices.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve production and business issues through root cause analysis and coordinated action plans.
  • Lead small to medium-sized projects by translating requirements into technical deliverables and ensuring timely completion.
  • Support continuous integration and delivery by automating routine tasks and implementing telemetry features.
  • Mentor and guide junior engineers, providing technical direction and documentation.
  • Monitor application performance and implement maintenance and improvements to ensure reliability.
