About The Position

The Software Engineer III will coordinate, complete, and oversee job-related activities and assignments by developing and maintaining relationships with key stakeholders. This role involves supporting plans and initiatives to meet customer and business needs, identifying and communicating goals, building accountability, and demonstrating adaptability. The engineer will analyze existing solutions, contribute to user story creation, and write minimalistic code that meets business and technical requirements, including non-functional requirements like maintainability, availability, and scalability. They will also assist in selecting appropriate development tools and languages, learn new coding languages and frameworks, build automation scripts for CI/CD and testing, implement telemetry features, and ensure security policy requirements are met. Additionally, the role includes mapping customer requirements to test objectives, creating and executing test cases, performing various types of testing, tracking and analyzing defects, troubleshooting performance and availability issues, conducting complex maintenance procedures, monitoring application performance, evaluating change requests, and ensuring adherence to project milestones and timelines.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree or the equivalent in Computer Science, Computer Information Systems, or a related field, plus 2 years of experience in software engineering or related experience; OR Master's degree or the equivalent in Computer Science, Computer Information Systems, or a related field.
• Creating data flows using SAP BW4Hana.
• Generating reports, such as GL Balances, line item reports, and Vendor payment reports, by using BEx Query Designer.
• Enhancing Hana views using SAP HANA.
• Using SAP BODS to extract data from tables.
• Generating BW data flows and reports by using IDE Eclipse.
• Enhancing Data flows and Reports in SAP BW.
• Writing code to solve complex problems or lookup logic by using SAP ABAP.
• Generating Data models in GCP and BIG Query for reporting models for Business use.
• Generating reports for Business use using Microsoft Power BI.
• Tracking the progress of sprint cards development in Jira tool.
• Sap S4 Hana/ ECC used to extract data to build reports for Business use.
• Resolving business issues raised as incidents in Service Now Tool.

• Creates/configures minimalistic code for entire component/application and ensures components meet business/technical requirements, non-functional requirements, low-maintainability, high-availability and high-scalability needs.
• Assists in the selection of appropriate languages, development standards and tools for software coding/configuration.
• Takes the initiative to learn the fundamentals of different coding languages and frameworks.
• Builds scripts for automation of repetitive and routine tasks in CI/CD, Testing or any other process.
• Implements telemetry features as required independently.
• Ensures security policy requirements are properly applied to components/application during code development/configuration.
• Maps customer requirements into test objectives.
• Identifies and creates test cases for the component/module.
• Executes test cases to test the code and detect errors and defects.
• Executes different types of testing using appropriate testing tools.
• Tracks and analyzes defects for the component/module and carries out regression testing.
• Analyzes defects from past projects/solutions to avoid recurrence.
• Troubleshoots performance and availability bottlenecks for the application.
• Conducts complex maintenance procedures for applications independently.
• Monitors and evaluates the performance of the application by tracking and analyzing appropriate metrics.
• Performs maintenance (corrective, adaptive, perfective) and re-engineering activities.
• Analyzes application logs, maintenance activity data, performance data and provides analysis.
• Evaluates change requests to identify those which are valid and feasible.
• Ensures adherence to the project against approved milestones and timelines.
