About The Position

The Software Engineer will design, develop, and maintain tools and services supporting enterprise collaboration platforms within the SUBURBANDEVELOPMENT environment. This role focuses on enabling seamless integrations and enhancing productivity across systems built around Atlassian tools such as Jira and Confluence. The engineer will work closely with software developers, system administrators, project managers, and mission customers to streamline workflows and improve operational efficiency.

Requirements

  • Active TS/SCI with Polygraph clearance
  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or related discipline
  • Seven (7) years of Software Engineering experience
  • Proficiency with Linux CLI and standard Linux tools
  • Experience writing scripts using Bash and Python

Nice To Haves

  • Nine (9) years of Software Engineering experience on similar projects may be substituted for a bachelor’s degree
  • Nine (9) years of experience without a degree
  • Experience with Kubernetes and Docker
  • Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines, including GitLab CI
  • Experience with Atlassian tool suite (Jira, Confluence)
  • Experience supporting platform integrations and workflow automation

Responsibilities

  • Design, develop, and maintain tools and services supporting enterprise collaboration platforms
  • Integrate and enhance systems leveraging Atlassian tools, including Jira and Confluence
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver scalable and efficient solutions
  • Develop automation scripts and services to streamline workflows and system operations
  • Support system integration, deployment, and maintenance activities
  • Troubleshoot and resolve issues across platform services and integrations
  • Contribute to continuous improvement of system performance and reliability
