Software Engineer III, Media Delivery
About The Position
As a Software Engineer, Media Delivery, you will play an integral part in building the future of Anime streaming at Crunchyroll. You will ensure customers have fast, reliable delivery of the content they love. You will work with a collaborative team of Software Engineers, Product Managers, and UX Designers on key initiatives. You will implement clean, well tested solutions to common video streaming concepts. You will keep teammates accountable for best engineering practices including testing, security, code/architecture reviews, and accurate documentation. You will review both technical designs and implementation output of your peers. You will build solutions to both serve our customers and to monitor the impact we deliver.
Requirements
- 5+ years of experience in software with a track record for building robust, reliable services and infrastructure
- Experienced with modern Typescript development and may be familiar with multiple modern programming languages
- Deep expertise building with modern cloud technologies in AWS and/or GCP and associated tools such as Terraform and Pulumi
- Experience deploying Content Delivery Networks with vendors like Fastly and Akamai
- Experience building and managing networking solutions
- Take ownership of application and infrastructure security
- Insist on building observability, monitoring, and alerting into every solution you deliver
- Experience working with external partners to build or implement a joint solution
- Take ownership of your outputs from design through to delivery
- Excel in an Agile environment and have a bias for action
