We’re searching for a Lehi, Utah-based Software Engineer to join our R&D team, so that we can keep our production systems healthy and our releases moving. The Software Engineer will focus on maintenance, operational support, and bug resolution, helping the team manage monthly upgrades, service requests, and chore-based work. You will execute clearly scoped work defined by senior engineers, contributing to a high-performing team that deploys continuously and takes ownership of quality through end-to-end testing of your own work.

Requirements

  • Professional software engineering experience in Python, with Django familiarity at a minimum (Django experience preferred)
  • React familiarity and openness to front-end work, even if your primary strength is back-end
  • Proven success writing clean, maintainable, well-tested code and diagnosing moderately complex issues using systematic debugging
  • In-depth knowledge of relational databases (MySQL), Django ORM usage, and how to write performant queries
  • Experience with AWS services (EC2, RDS, S3), REST APIs, Git-based GitHub workflows, and standard Python and React testing frameworks
  • Ability to commute to our Lehi, Utah office approximately 2 days a week (higher in-office frequency during an initial onboarding period of around 1 month); no significant travel required
  • Sincere interest in building software that improves healthcare outcomes
  • A knack for working collaboratively within an engineering-led Agile team where engineers own quality

Nice To Haves

  • Monitoring and logging awareness is a plus
  • Prior experience on a SaaS product team is a nice-to-have, and exposure to regulated industries (healthcare, finance, government) is a plus

Responsibilities

  • Resolve bugs, complete monthly upgrades, and handle operational chores using Python (Django) and React to deliver reliable, production-ready work
  • Diagnose and troubleshoot routine to moderately complex technical issues using systematic debugging in order to keep production systems stable
  • Take full ownership of QA for the work you build or fix before submitting it for peer code review
  • Follow established CI/CD and GitHub pull request workflows to contribute to the team’s daily deployment cadence
  • Monitor system health and respond to alerts and service requests in order to support production stability and visibility into key application metrics
  • Collaborate with senior engineers and the Product Owner to understand task scope and acceptance criteria for work items in Azure DevOps
