About The Position

CTG is seeking to fill a Software Engineer II opening for our client. This role involves designing, developing, testing, debugging, implementing, and supporting enterprise applications. The engineer will perform systems analysis, application development, software design, and integration, with a focus on developing web, desktop, and API applications using C#, VB.NET, Angular, and SSIS. Key responsibilities include troubleshooting complex application issues, performing root-cause analysis, creating technical specifications and documentation, and collaborating with various stakeholders. The role may also involve leading technical project activities and providing guidance to junior developers.

Requirements

  • Associate degree and 5+ years of systems analysis/application development experience, or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • 5+ years of software/application development experience.
  • Strong C#, VB.NET, Angular, and SSIS experience.
  • Experience with web development, desktop applications, APIs, systems integration, testing, debugging, and troubleshooting.
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, communication, and project coordination skills.
  • Excellent verbal and written English communication skills and the ability to interact professionally with a diverse group are required.

Responsibilities

  • Design, develop, test, debug, implement, and support enterprise applications.
  • Perform systems analysis, application development, software design, and integration.
  • Develop web, desktop, and API applications using C#, VB.NET, Angular, and SSIS.
  • Troubleshoot complex application issues and perform root-cause analysis.
  • Create technical specifications, documentation, test plans, and project estimates.
  • Collaborate with developers, business users, technology teams, vendors, and stakeholders.
  • Coordinate development tasks and provide technical guidance to junior developers.
  • Support application enhancements, integrations, and production issues.
  • Follow development standards, security controls, risk policies, and regulatory requirements.
  • Work independently on complex systems analysis and application development.
  • May lead technical project activities, coordinate resources, and manage development deliverables.
  • Collaborate with technical teams, business stakeholders, management, and vendors.
  • May lead and coordinate less experienced developers and technical resources on project assignments.
