About The Position

SEACORP's Combat Systems Business Area is seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Software/DevOps Engineer to join our growing team. The selected candidate will contribute to the development, management, and configuration of developer tools, pipelines and operating systems in a Linux environment. This position offers the opportunity to work alongside experienced engineers in a professional and technically focused environment.

Requirements

  • Bachelor of Science Degree in Computer Engineering, Computer Science, or equivalent engineering/technical degree with a concentration in computer science courses.
  • At least 2-10 years’ experience and proven performance in software engineering, including problem analysis and resolution, requirements analysis and definition, design, code, and integration testing.
  • Proven knowledge and experience around object-oriented programming.
  • Advanced Linux skills (RedHat Enterprise Linux preferred).
  • Experience with Git/GitLab/GitTea.
  • Experience with C++ and/or Java.
  • Experience with Python or Bash Scripting.
  • U.S. Citizenship

Nice To Haves

  • Experience with networking a preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Participates in an Agile development process to produce reliable software solutions for mission critical systems.
  • Designs, develops, documents, tests, and debugs software that contains logical and mathematical solutions to business and mission problems.
  • Participates in one or all of the software disciplines available including UI, Infrastructure and back-end development.
  • Interfaces with Management, Software Engineers, Systems Engineers and Test Engineers to generate thorough investigations and solutions to problems.
  • Is self-motivated to explore solutions to software issues and can communicate them with the team.
