Software Engineer II - Slack Developer Experience AI
About The Position
Salesforce is seeking a Software Engineer II for the Slack Developer Experience AI team. This team empowers the engineering organization with AI-powered solutions across the entire development lifecycle, including AI tooling distribution, monitoring, evangelism, evaluation, and cost management. They also build and experiment with internal tooling like AI code review agents for use across Slack. The ideal candidate is a full-stack generalist passionate about building developer workflow tools, comfortable working across different technology stacks, and demonstrating exceptional ownership of Slack's codebase. They should have a "can do" demeanor, be self-directed, innovative, and action-oriented in fast-paced environments, adept at navigating ambiguity, and view failure as a learning opportunity.
Requirements
- 3+ years of experience building and maintaining complex software
- Experience using AI development tools and frameworks like Claude Code, Cursor, LangChain, LangGraph, etc.
- Expertise in AWS cloud infrastructure and services
- Deep familiarity with the developer productivity metrics tracking and improvement
- Track record of championing AI powered development practices at an organizational level.
Nice To Haves
- Experience using Slack and a keen interest in making it better
- Specific experience working within the Developer Experience space or a Platform team.
