Software Engineer II

About The Position

This role involves working in a team environment to understand, create, and modify applications using various technologies. The engineer will be responsible for designing, developing, evaluating, and testing system/software integration, as well as interpreting and supporting the development and maintenance of requirements and software designs. Code reviews and feedback are a key part of the process. The position requires the ability to design and implement within an agile team environment with minimal direction and to communicate regularly with functional team leads to ensure effective work partnerships.

Requirements

  • 3-5 years of Software Development experience
  • BS in Computer Science, Computer Engineering or related technology field
  • Experience with Java (Linux), React, HTML, CSS, JSON, SQL
  • Solid command of object-oriented software development and automated testing
  • Experience with development under Linux-based systems
  • Familiar with common IDE's such as Eclipse and VS Code, and tools such as Bamboo, Gradle, JIRA, Confluence, Bitbucket
  • Experienced with multiple network protocols, data transfer methods, and network debugging techniques
  • Experienced with relational databases such as Oracle, PostgreSQL, MySQL/MariaDB.
  • Strong problem solving, automated testing, and debugging capabilities
  • Effective written and verbal skills
  • Able to work and thrive in both individual and team-based development environments
  • Ability to obtain and maintain a Secret level security clearance
