About The Position

We are seeking a Software Engineer II with 3-5 years of experience in software development, API integration, and middleware technologies. The ideal candidate will contribute to the design, development, testing, deployment, and support of enterprise integration solutions. This role involves working with APIs, messaging platforms, cloud technologies, and modern DevOps practices to deliver scalable and reliable business applications. The engineer will collaborate with cross-functional teams including application development, architecture, QA, DevOps, and business stakeholders to build and support integration services while following Agile development methodologies and operational best practices.

Requirements

• 3-5 years of experience in software engineering, application development, or integration engineering.
• Experience developing and consuming REST APIs and web services.
• Understanding of API management concepts, API security, versioning, and lifecycle management.
• Working knowledge of messaging and event-driven architectures.
• Familiarity with container technologies such as Docker and orchestration platforms such as Kubernetes/OpenShift.
• Experience with any cloud platforms such as AWS, Microsoft Azure, or Google Cloud Platform.
• Knowledge of Infrastructure as Code concepts and tools such as Terraform or similar technologies.
• Experience with source control systems such as Git.
• Familiarity with CI/CD tools and automated deployment practices.
• Knowledge of monitoring, logging, and troubleshooting techniques.
• Exposure to Agile and DevOps methodologies.
• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or a related field.
• 3-5 years of relevant professional experience in software development, integration, or middleware technologies.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Good verbal and written communication skills.
• Ability to work effectively in a collaborative team environment.
• Strong learning agility and willingness to adopt new technologies.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities and deliver quality solutions within timelines.

Nice To Haves

• Experience working with middleware and enterprise integration platforms.
• Understanding of microservices architecture and integration patterns.
• Familiarity with infrastructure automation and scripting.
• Basic knowledge of cloud-native application development.
• Experience supporting production applications and operational environments.
• Experience with Apache Kafka or other messaging technologies is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Knowledge of any 1 programming language for eg. Python, Node.JS etc.
• Develop and support APIs, web services, and middleware components based on business and technical requirements.
• Contribute to the full software development lifecycle, including requirements analysis, design, coding, testing, deployment, and documentation.
• Troubleshoot application and integration issues and support production and non-production environments.
• Exposure to any API Gateway and API lifecycle.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver high-quality and scalable solutions.
• Implement and maintain CI/CD and automation practices.
• Support cloud-native deployments pipelines and containerized applications.
• Participate in code reviews, testing activities, and performance optimization initiatives.
• Monitor application health and assist in incident resolution using standard monitoring and logging tools.
• Participate in the design, development, testing, and maintenance of software applications and integration solutions.
