This job is responsible for tool and service designs within a technical domain that enable business strategies in accordance with architectural governance, standards and policies. Key responsibilities include creating infrastructure tools and their integration as a service, facilitating deployment of technical solutions by developing templates, playbooks and automation used during implementation. Requirements

  • 5 or more years of experience of Middleware Engineering experience
  • Experience with 1 or more of the following Middleware products: IIS, .NET Framework, WebSphere, WebLogic, Tomcat, Apache, Spring Boot, JBoss, DEVOPS experience
  • Understanding of Network infrastructure (HTTP/S, TCP/IP, TLS,DNS, Load-balancers, firewalls, proxies, B2B links)
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills and strong attention to detail.
  • Release Deploy Tools: Ansible, Ansible Tower, XLR, BitBucket, Celestial

Nice To Haves

  • 3 or more years of experience as a Java/ J2ee Middleware Engineering
  • Experience with 1 or more of the following Middleware products: Appian, Terraform, Software AG WEB METHODS
  • Linux Operating System, Windows Operating System
  • Java/Container Framework experience
  • Experience with one of the following scripting languages: shell, python, powershell, jython, perl

Responsibilities

  • Lead end-to-end and administration duties for critical banking platforms, delivering middleware infrastructure for enterprise projects and regulatory initiatives.
  • Ensure production stability, platform remediation, patching and upgrades, mitigating and managing risk.
  • Perform middleware engineering and administration, including installation, configuration, risk mitigation and remediation, performance tuning and troubleshooting/triage as L3 production support.
  • Collaborate with customers (application teams and/or testing teams) on a daily basis, providing middleware advice, consultation, and support.
  • Create, maintain, and support application deployment templates, serving as a J2EE architect and making recommendations on J2EE best practices in application development.
  • Design Middleware infrastructure and topology for high availability and failover capability.
  • Ensure all solutions meet Policy, Baseline, and Standards along with business requirements.
  • Provide technical consultation to other team members and their supported areas.
  • Provide subject matter expertise and consulting services on a range of technologies and assist Technical Analysts and Infrastructure Engineers to ensure that technology solutions comply with enterprise system design and engineering standards.
  • Assist with translating business requirements into technical definitions, reference models, blueprints, and playbooks for deployment in compliance with architecture standards and policies.
  • Assist in the evaluation of reference models, blueprints and playbooks to ensure they are fit for purpose.
  • Develop software solutions to address manual and repeatable work or inefficient processes.
  • Conduct on-site evaluations of third-party products being considered for firm adoption.
  • Promote an inclusive and healthy working environment and help to resolve organizational impediments/blockers.
  • Contribute to the creation/selection of functional and non-functional product evaluation requirements within and across domains.
