About The Position

Spotnana is hiring a Software Engineer II, Frontend to design and develop features for its frontend experience. The role contributes to web and mobile products on Spotnana’s Travel-as-a-Service platform, with opportunities to develop technical and problem-solving skills and make a direct impact on customer-facing products. The engineer will take ownership of small projects and execute ideas with support and mentorship from senior engineers as project complexity grows.

The role works with designers, product managers, and backend engineers to deliver features, and contributes to reliable, high-quality software through clean, testable, performant code, debugging, code review, and improvements to product quality and team workflows. For the New York City location, the position works in a hybrid setting with teammates at the company’s office at 115 Broadway and requires comfort working in an open office environment.

Hiring includes a conversation with Talent Acquisition, a take-home technical assessment, and live collaboration with engineering team members and hiring managers. The process may vary.

The anticipated annual base salary range is $125,000–$170,000. Compensation also includes an annual performance bonus, company equity, and benefits. Actual compensation depends on individual qualifications and geographic market.

Requirements

• At least 2 years of software development experience with JavaScript frameworks, such as TypeScript, ES6, React, React Native, Apollo, VueJS, or AngularJS; familiarity with concepts such as asynchronous programming and closures.
• Proficient HTML and CSS experience, including layout, specificity, cross-browser compatibility, responsiveness, and accessibility.
• Experience with browser APIs and frontend performance optimization.
• Experience with ongoing refactoring for reusability and testability, and for building scalable, optimized, performant web applications.
• A degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
• Growth mindset and openness to mentorship, feedback, and continuous learning.
• For the New York City location, ability to work in a hybrid setting alongside teammates at the 115 Broadway office and comfort working in an open office environment.

Responsibilities
