About The Position

Spotnana is hiring a Software Engineer II, Frontend to help shape its frontend experience by designing and developing features for web and mobile users. The role offers opportunities to develop technical and problem-solving skills and contribute to products, with guidance from senior engineers on increasingly complex projects. The engineer will take ownership of projects, execute new ideas, and help improve the products delivered to customers. For New York City candidates, the position involves working in a hybrid setting alongside teammates at the office at 115 Broadway, including in an open office environment. The interview process starts with a Talent Acquisition conversation, followed by a take-home technical assessment and live collaboration with engineering team members and hiring managers; the process may vary. The anticipated annual base salary range is $125,000–$170,000. Actual compensation varies based on qualifications and geographic market. Total compensation includes base salary, an annual performance bonus, company equity, and benefits.

Requirements

At least 2 years of software development experience with JavaScript frameworks or technologies such as TypeScript, ES6, React, React Native, Apollo, VueJS, or AngularJS, including concepts such as asynchronous programming and closures.
Proficient HTML and CSS experience, including layout, specificity, cross-browser compatibility, responsiveness, and accessibility.
Experience with browser APIs and frontend performance optimization.
Experience with ongoing refactoring for reusability and testability when building scalable, optimized, performant web applications.
A degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
A growth mindset and openness to mentorship, feedback, and continuous learning.
For New York City candidates, ability to work in a hybrid setting with teammates at the 115 Broadway office and comfortably in an open office environment.

Responsibilities

Build and maintain frontend features for web and mobile experiences.
Collaborate with designers, product managers, and backend engineers to bring ideas to life.
Write clean, testable, performant code to deliver reliable software.
Debug issues, review code, and help improve product quality and team workflows.
Own small projects with support and mentorship from senior engineers.
