Software Engineer II - Data Management

CoStar GroupRichmond, VA
Hybrid

About The Position

As a Software Engineer on CoStar Group’s Data Management team, you will play a critical role in expanding and enhancing the data platform that powers the company’s flagship brands, including CoStar Suite, LoopNet, and Homes.com. Success in this role requires developing a deep understanding of the business and the data that drives it, enabling you to build scalable solutions that deliver exceptional data quality. You will own the ingestion of new data into the platform, ensuring it is accurate, reliable, and seamlessly integrated, while also improving and correcting existing data through robust, system-driven approaches rather than one-off fixes. Working across the full data lifecycle, you will diagnose issues end-to-end, tracing user-reported problems through complex pipelines to identify root causes and implement lasting solutions that strengthen the integrity and value of CoStar’s data products. CoStar is investing heavily in artificial intelligence to accelerate software delivery, improve platform observability, automate research and business workflows, enhance product experiences through intelligent agents and skills, and improve data quality across enterprise systems. Successful candidates will demonstrate a willingness to learn, adopt, and apply AI technologies responsibly to solve complex business and engineering challenges.
