About The Position

We are seeking experienced Software Data Engineers with 10+ years of relevant experience to support the design and development of a strategic data platform. The role will support the development of a strategic data platform across a large financial services environment. The position will be involved in the active development of the data platform, beginning with the establishment of a reference data system for securities and pricing data, and later expanding to other data domains. The consulting team will follow established internal development standards and contribute to the overall data platform agenda. The implementation of the strategic platform on Azure Cloud will require strong hands-on experience with the technologies and solutions listed below.

Requirements

• 10+ years of relevant experience
• Full Stack Python/PySpark Developer
• Proven experience as a Data Engineer with Azure Cloud experience
• Experience implementing solutions using: Azure Cloud Services, Azure Data Factory, Azure Data Lake Gen2, Azure Databases, Azure Data Fabric, API Gateway Management, Azure Functions
• Strong experience with Azure Databricks
• Strong SQL skills with RDBMS or NoSQL databases
• Experience developing APIs using FastAPI or similar Python frameworks
• Familiarity with the DevOps lifecycle, including Git, Jenkins, and related tools
• Experience with CI/CD processes
• Good understanding of ETL/ELT processes

• Experience in financial services, including financial instruments, asset classes, and market data

Responsibilities
