Requirements

  • Typically requires a degree in Science, Technology, Engineering or Mathematics (STEM) and less than 2 years of prior relevant experience.
  • Experience in developing, testing, and integrating real-time software applications written in C++ or C, or similar.
  • Experience in computer scripting languages such as Shell/Perl/Python.
  • The ability to obtain and maintain a U.S. government issued security clearance is required.
  • U.S. citizenship is required, as only U.S. citizens are eligible for a security clearance.

Nice To Haves

  • Additional experience in coding using C, C#, Java or closely related software languages.
  • Experience working in lab environments with physical hardware (e.g., test benches, simulators).
  • Ability to quickly understand and navigate complex systems and established code bases.
  • Experience in Object Oriented and scripting languages
  • Clearly communicate plans, status, and issues to teammates and program leadership
  • Ability to work in a fast paced, dynamic environment with time-critical requirements
  • Experience contributing to a team environment for the purpose of developing creative solutions to difficult technical problems
  • Experience with developing, testing, and integrating software using C/C##/Java or modern software development language

Responsibilities

  • Design, develop, and test software based on software trouble reports, collaborative environment, delivering builds
  • Demonstrate critical thinking skills, the ability to thrive in small, empowered teams, and an intense desire to directly enable our customer’s success
  • Troubleshoot, debug, and optimize existing code for performance and efficiency in complex environments
  • Write and maintain comprehensive documentation for software applications, including system architecture and design specifications
  • Work collaboratively with multiple engineering disciplines to analyze, implement, and test system modification requests to the existing system baseline
