Junior–Intermediate Software Engineer (Full Stack) Team: iQ AI Company: Qualifacts Location: Remote / Hybrid (Canada) About Qualifacts Qualifacts is a leading provider of electronic health record (EHR) and technology solutions for behavioral health and human services organizations. The iQ AI team is focused on building intelligent AI-powered tools and platforms that unlock insights from healthcare data, automate workflows, and improve the experience for clinicians, administrators, and patients. Role Overview We are looking for a Junior–Intermediate Full Stack Software Engineer to join our growing iQ AI team. In this role, you will help design, build, and scale modern web applications and AI-driven products that integrate with Qualifacts’ core platform. You will collaborate with product managers, AI engineers, and senior developers to deliver high-quality features that bring AI capabilities into real-world healthcare workflows. This is an excellent opportunity for an engineer who wants to work on AI-enabled products, modern cloud infrastructure, and scalable full-stack systems.

Requirements

  • 0-2 years of professional software engineering experience
  • Experience building full-stack web applications
  • Proficiency with JavaScript/TypeScript
  • Experience with modern frontend frameworks (React preferred)
  • Experience building REST APIs or backend services
  • Familiarity with relational databases (PostgreSQL, MySQL, etc.)
  • Understanding of software engineering fundamentals, version control (Git), and testing practices
  • Strong problem-solving skills and ability to work collaboratively

Nice To Haves

  • Experience with AI/ML integrations or LLM-based applications
  • Experience with Python for backend or data processing
  • Familiarity with cloud platforms (AWS preferred)
  • Experience with Docker or containerized deployments
  • Exposure to healthcare, EHR systems, or regulated environments
  • Experience with event-driven architectures or microservices

Responsibilities

  • Design, build, and maintain full-stack features for AI-powered healthcare applications
  • Develop modern frontend interfaces using frameworks such as React or Next.js
  • Build and maintain backend services and APIs using Node.js, Python, or similar technologies
  • Integrate AI and data-driven features into product workflows
  • Work with cloud infrastructure (AWS, GCP, or Azure) to deploy and scale applications
  • Collaborate with product managers, designers, and other engineers to ship new features
  • Write clean, maintainable, and well-tested code
  • Participate in code reviews and contribute to engineering best practices
  • Troubleshoot and resolve production issues
  • Continuously improve system performance, reliability, and security
