Software Engineer I - Next Gen Systems - Onsite

RTX•Cedar Rapids, IA
•$57,200 - $108,800•Onsite

About The Position

As part of the team, you will work alongside experienced engineers to help define high-level system behavior, decompose requirements, support avionics architecture development, and contribute to system verification activities. This is a strong fit for those who enjoy solving technical problems, learning complex systems, and collaborating across software, systems, and test disciplines. You will learn how avionics systems are developed across the full engineering lifecycle, from concept and requirements through integration and verification. You will also learn how to work with system requirements, architecture artifacts, and verification methods used on real aerospace programs. Additionally, you will learn how to collaborate effectively in a multidisciplinary engineering environment with mentorship from a dedicated technical “copilot” and other experienced team members, and how to apply structured problem solving, technical communication, and engineering rigor in a safety-critical domain.
