About The Position

U.S. Bank is seeking a Software Engineer - Full Stack in Irving, TX. This role involves designing, developing, testing, operating, and maintaining software products. The engineer will execute end-to-end development, deployment, and testing of software products within an agile lifecycle using the Tungsten Automation vendor-hosted SAAS platform. Responsibilities include data capture from images using OCR, AI/ML technologies, and Barcode engines, as well as document classification/separation, data extraction, and committing to a repository using the Tungsten Total Agility (TTA) platform. The role also involves integrating Tungsten platform applications with Azure Open AI, leveraging generative AI, and performing full-stack agile development from front-end to back-end, including refactoring legacy code and CI/CD deployment to the Tungsten SAAS platform. The engineer will partner with key technical and business stakeholders, take full stack ownership by writing production-ready and testable code, create optimal technical designs adhering to architectural best practices, and perform analysis on failures to propose improvements. This position may allow working from home within commuting distance of the worksite location. Multiple positions are available.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or Software Engineering
  • 5 years of progressive post baccalaureate experience as a Software Engineer, Software Developer, or related
  • 5 years of experience developing data tracking tool using SQL stored procedures
  • 5 years of experience performing deployments following CI/CD guidelines for all Tungsten applications using shield pipelines
  • 5 years of experience developing using Tungsten Automation vendor platform structured and semi structured document classification/Separation/Extraction
  • 5 years of experience utilizing Tungsten Total Agility to build and enhance intelligent document capture workflows
  • 5 years of experience building custom reports from Insight under Tungsten
  • 5 years of experience utilizing Transformation Designer, VBScript, and .NetCore
  • 1 year of experience using developing AI plugins with ChatGPT models and Flask
  • 1 year of experience implementing AI/ML solutions with Microsoft Azure
  • 1 year of experience utilizing Agentic AI, Azure Open AI, Form Recognizer, and Python

Responsibilities

  • Design, develop, test, operate and maintain software products
  • Execute true end-to-end development, deployment and testing of software products in an agile lifecycle using Tungsten Automation vendor hosted SAAS platform
  • Perform data capture from images using OCR and AI/ML technologies and Barcode engines (1D and 2D) with vendor hosted SAAS platform Tungsten Total Agility
  • Develop applications providing full business process management and workflow using the vendor platform TTA
  • Handle document Classification/Separation, data extraction and commit to repository
  • Integrate Tungsten platform applications with Azure Open AI and use the features of generative AI combining with highlighting capability in Tungsten application
  • Serve as a full stack agile application developer responsible for development from front end to back end
  • Refactor legacy code and perform CI/CD deployment to Tungsten SAAS platform
  • Partner with key technical and business stakeholders
  • Take full stack ownership by consistently writing production-ready and testable code
  • Create optimal technical design adhering to architectural best practices and taking into account scalability, reliability and performance of systems/contexts affected when defining technical designs
  • Perform analysis on failures, propose design changes, and encourage operational improvements
  • Make sound technical design and coding decisions
