About The Position

U.S. Bank is seeking a Senior Software Engineer - Full Stack (React) in Irving, TX. The primary focus for this role is on designing and delivering technology solutions for the Contact Center Technology team, which supports customer interactions across multiple channels. The candidate will specialize in building scalable, secure, and high-performing systems leveraging AWS cloud technologies and modern architectural practices. The Senior Software Engineer - Full Stack (React) ensures that contact center platforms provide exceptional customer experience, operational efficiency, and compliance. The candidate will drive the design and implementation of microservices-based solutions and REST APIs to support high-performance distributed systems. The position may allow working from home within commuting distance of the worksite location. Multiple positions are available.

Requirements

  • Requires a Bachelor’s degree (or foreign equivalent) in Computer Science or Applied Computer Science plus 5 years of progressive post-baccalaureate experience as a Software Engineer, Technology Lead, or related.
  • 5 years of experience with designing, developing, testing, operating and maintaining products.
  • 5 years of experience collaborating with stakeholders to gather requirements, creating high and low level design documents, and providing technical estimations for projects.
  • 5 years of experience building REST APIs.
  • 5 years of experience designing and implementing migration of APIs using Java Spring.
  • 5 years of experience in RESTful API development.
  • 5 years of experience in agile software development methodologies.
  • 5 years of experience managing CI/CD pipelines using Jenkins.
  • 5 years of experience in software development using Java/J2EE and Spring Boot.
  • 5 years of experience designing high-level and low-level system architecture for complex, enterprise-level applications.
  • 5 years of experience with unit testing (JUnit, Mockito) and applying software engineering best practices.
  • 5 years of experience with Angular.
  • 5 years of experience with Git.

Responsibilities

  • Lead architecture and development of enterprise-grade applications using AWS cloud technologies (Amazon Connect, Lambda, Amazon Lex, DynamoDB, Contact Lens), ensuring scalability and security.
  • Perform analysis on failures, propose design changes, and encourage operational improvements.
  • Make sound design/coding decisions keeping customer experience in the forefront.
  • Collaborate with stakeholders to translate complex business requirements into optimized contact center architectures, leveraging best practices and cost-effective strategies.
  • Coordinate cross-functional teams across onshore and offshore locations.
  • Establish and govern CI/CD pipelines and Infrastructure as Code (IaC) for automated deployments and consistent environment provisioning.
  • Application monitoring and observability practices using Splunk and Application Insights, ensuring proactive performance management and incident resolution.
  • Provide technical leadership for troubleshooting and production support, maintaining high availability and reliability of mission-critical systems.
  • Ensure compliance and maintain detailed documentation of configurations, changes, and resolutions for audit readiness.
  • Drive seamless delivery and adherence to timelines.
