Software Engineer, Full Stack
About The Position
Arena Intelligence is seeking a Full Stack Software Engineer to take ownership of features from conception through deployment and iteration. This role involves hands-on coding, a focus on post-launch impact, and shaping user interaction with advanced AI. The engineer will work on designing and extending schemas, APIs, and business logic, shipping high-quality code across the full stack, incorporating user feedback, and collaborating with ML researchers to productionize research services. The position also involves working with design and product teams, and advocating for improvements in development practices.
Requirements
- 3+ years of experience in software engineering, with a focus on enterprise or developer facing product development
- Experience building user-facing web applications spanning frontend, backend/API, and database
- Clear, concise communication skills
- Evidence of shipping and iterating on features
- A product engineering identity, caring about user impact
- Genuine curiosity about AI evaluation and Arena's mission
Nice To Haves
- Familiarity with NextJS, React, TypeScript, Tailwind, ShadCN, HonoJS, Postgres, Vitest
- Experience with Supabase or Vercel's AI SDK
- Experience shipping without PM or design support by talking to users or looking at data
Responsibilities
- Own features from technical scoping through deployment and post-launch iteration
- Design and extend schemas, APIs, and business logic to support new product capabilities
- Ship high-quality product code across the stack
- Incorporate real user feedback to improve shipped features
- Work closely with ML researchers to turn research services into production-ready, consumable products
- Collaborate across design, product, and engineering to determine product direction
- Identify and advocate for improvements to development, testing, and deployment practices
