Our work matters, and so will you. You'll be joining a fast-moving software engineering team that's building and supporting multiple user interfaces in a dynamic microservice ecosystem. We use feature-driven development to stay agile, and we believe great software comes from collaborative teams where every engineer has a voice in system design decisions. In this role, you'll develop and maintain web applications that interact with Java microservices while working closely with your tech lead on technical decisions and our product roadmap. You'll be solving challenging software engineering design problems on a daily basis, and you'll interact directly with our customers to understand their needs, resolve issues, and propose new features. Your work will support testing and deployment of production applications, and your success depends on your ability to engage meaningfully with our mission and the people we serve. We're looking for someone with real customer-facing experience who thrives in a collaborative environment and genuinely cares about delivering solutions that matter.

Requirements

• 3+ years of professional experience, or a B.S. in a technical discipline plus 4+ years of professional experience
• Hands-on experience with design, debugging, and problem-solving using JavaScript or TypeScript
• Proven experience with a modern frontend framework (Vue, React, or similar)
• Strong background developing RESTful web applications
• Experience working with MongoDB or similar database technologies
• Demonstrated experience with automated testing
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills

Nice To Haves

• Full stack development experience with a focus on Java or JVM-based languages
• Apache Kafka experience
• Linux system administration experience
• Experience with automated build tools, continuous integration, and continuous deployment pipelines
• Familiarity with AI tools such as Claude Code

Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain web applications that interact with Java microservices
• Work closely with your tech lead on technical decisions and our product roadmap
