Requirements

  • At least 5 years building production web interfaces with React and TypeScript.
  • Strong HTML, CSS, and responsive layout skills; comfortable with Tailwind.
  • Comfort working directly from Figma files, inspecting specifications, extracting tokens and spacing, and flagging inconsistencies with designers.
  • Experience integrating REST APIs and handling authentication, loading, empty, and error states.
  • Experience with at least one of Vitest, Jest, or Playwright.
  • Familiarity with coding agents and practical judgment about when they are useful.
  • Clear written communication with designers, backend engineers, and product.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience with Radix UI or a shadcn-style component system.
  • Experience with TanStack Query, React Router, or Next.js.
  • Experience integrating coding tools with a design system or component library, including Figma-to-code workflows, design tokens, or Storybook documentation.

Responsibilities

  • Build and maintain features across customer-facing and internal applications, in both Rails-embedded and standalone environments.
  • Develop and maintain the shared component library, document components in Storybook, and support practical accessibility.
  • Implement Figma designs faithfully and raise questions or concerns when specifications have gaps.
  • Improve performance in areas such as rendering, bundle size, large lists, and uploads.
  • Maintain existing test coverage and extend it where needed.
  • Investigate production issues using Sentry and PostHog.
  • Collaborate with design, product, and backend engineering to ship reliable, polished applications.
  • Contribute to code reviews, clear documentation, and maintainable development patterns.
