About The Position

The Software Engineering Fellow at NCR VOYIX Corporation contributes to the design, development, and maintenance of software solutions. The role provides an opportunity to apply theoretical knowledge to real-world challenges in a technology environment. The fellow works with senior engineers and cross-functional teams throughout the software development lifecycle, supports software quality and defect resolution, researches technologies and methodologies, and contributes to technical documentation and code reviews.

Requirements

• Currently enrolled in a Bachelor's or Master's degree program in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related technical field.
• Strong understanding of data structures, algorithms, and object-oriented programming.
• Proficiency in at least one modern programming language, such as Java, Python, C++, C#, or JavaScript.
• Familiarity with software development methodologies such as Agile or Scrum.
• Basic understanding of relational databases and SQL.
• Experience with version control systems such as Git.
• Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
• 10+ years of experience in the role or a related field.

• Prior internship or project experience in software development.

Responsibilities

• Participate in the full software development lifecycle, including requirements gathering, design, coding, testing, and deployment.
• Collaborate with senior engineers and cross-functional teams to understand project objectives and contribute to technical solutions.
• Write clean, efficient, well-documented code that follows established coding standards.
• Conduct unit and integration testing and support system testing to ensure software quality and functionality.
• Assist in identifying and resolving software defects and performance issues.
• Research and evaluate technologies and methodologies to improve existing systems and processes.
• Contribute to technical documentation, including design specifications, API documentation, and user guides.
• Participate in code reviews and provide constructive feedback.
