About The Position

As a Software Engineer you will be working with the T&O Strategy & Innovation team and help the team create first-level experiments and proof-of-concepts using technologies such as Artificial Intelligence, Machine Learning, and Natural Language Processing. The ideal candidate for this role would be a lifelong learner who enjoys building applications that integrate and leverage emerging technologies. Above all, the ideal candidate would enjoy working independently in a team while being coached and mentored by senior engineers.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s Degree or Master's degree in Computer Engineering, Computer Science, or related STEM degree with equivalent experience
  • Understanding of modern software development life cycle and CI/CD tooling.
  • Advanced experience in Python, experience in Java, Angular, React, Node, JavaScript, Shell scripting, or any other front-end and back-end tools.
  • Experience working with cloud-based applications, restless APIs, and micro services, including familiarity with Docker, Kubernetes, OpenShift, AWS, and Microsoft Azure.
  • Experience in AI-Native SDLC workflows
  • Experience using vibe coding techniques in agentic IDEs/terminal with co-pilot, claude code, windsurf etc.
  • Ability to clearly communicate with technical teams, business users, and senior management
  • Ability to partner and mentor junior developers

Responsibilities

  • Collaborate with peers to develop code in line with strategic initiatives, as well as develop, troubleshoot, enhance, and document components, as per requirements and detailed design according to RBC procedures and processes.
  • Participate in brainstorming sessions to identify and architect solutions
  • Collaborate with other T&O and business teams to converge on the best solutions for conducting first-level experiments and proof of concepts.
  • Work in an Agile lab environment, delivering code, automation deployments, and rapid prototype demonstrations on a bi-weekly basis.
  • Create and review technical documentation, understand how the design will be used in the code development process, and facilitate meetings to design, troubleshoot, and execute projects
  • Collaborate with other T&O and business teams to converge on the best solutions for conducting first-level experiments and proof of concepts.
