About The Position

Attalon is seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Software Engineer (Embedded Systems) to join their multidisciplinary engineering team. Requirements

• B.S. in Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, or a related discipline
• 0-2 years of relevant work experience
• Experience with embedded programming in C
• Experience with Verilog or VHDL
• Hands-on experience with prototyping, debugging, and testing embedded electronics

Nice To Haves

• M.S. in Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, or a related discipline
• Extensive experience with embedded programming in C; experience with Microchip products preferred
• Experience with PCB design, schematic capture, and layout; preferably using Altium Designer
• Familiarity with real time operating systems
• Experience with Xilinx and Intel FPGAs

Responsibilities

• Contribute to the software and firmware development of electronic systems containing embedded microcontrollers and FPGAs
• Support prototyping and bring-up of printed circuit boards, cable harnesses, and embedded hardware assemblies containing programmable devices
• Participate in testing and validation of new and existing electronics and software
• Create documentation including test plans/test reports, design notes, manufacturing instructions, interface control documents, and operating instructions
• Collaborate cross functionally to resolve issues during development, integration, transition to manufacturing, and field operation
• Infrequent travel for hands-on field support, conferences, etc.
• Other duties as required
