About The Position

We are seeking a highly skilled Software Engineer with expertise in Cyber Range environments. This role requires a deep understanding of Infrastructure as Code (IaC), automation technologies like Terraform and Ansible, and virtualization platforms such as VMWare. Due to federal contract requirements, this position mandates United States citizenship, an active TS/SCI security clearance, and a polygraph. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in defensive cybersecurity operations, network engineering, and experience working in fast-paced, agile development environments. You will be instrumental in developing and maintaining secure and efficient cyber range infrastructure, supporting critical national security missions.

Requirements

  • Must be a US Citizen
  • Must have TS/SCI clearance w/ active polygraph
  • Eight (08) years of direct/relevant experience
  • Bachelor’s degree in a technical discipline from an accredited college or university
  • Experience with Infrastructure as Code (IaC)
  • Experience with scripting languages such as Bash, PowerShell, Batch, and Python
  • Experience with networking and virtualization
  • Experience with Terraform and Ansible
  • Experience with cybersecurity tools, network configurations, and operational tools
  • Network Engineering experience with Arista, Cisco, and Juniper
  • Knowledge of operating systems, including Windows and Linux, application behaviors, and network traffic analysis
  • Experience in a fast-paced environment and working with flexible customer requirements
  • Experience operating in an agile development environment and DevOps
  • Experience with container technologies such as Kubernetes and Docker
  • Knowledge of penetration testing or red team operations
  • Experience utilizing and development with Splunk
  • Experience with Nutanix
  • Experience with Defensive Cyber Security Operations

Responsibilities

  • Develop, implement, and maintain Infrastructure as Code (IaC) using tools like Terraform and Ansible.
  • Manage and automate virtualized environments using VMWare and other relevant technologies.
  • Script and automate tasks using languages such as Bash, PowerShell, Batch, and Python.
  • Configure and manage network infrastructure, including devices from Arista, Cisco, and Juniper.
  • Ensure the security and operational readiness of the cyber range environment.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams in an agile development and DevOps setting.
  • Utilize and develop with Splunk for security monitoring and analysis.
  • Support defensive cybersecurity operations.
  • Analyze operating systems, application behaviors, and network traffic.
  • Adapt to flexible customer requirements in a fast-paced environment.
