About The Position

This role involves a Software Engineer Consultant with a focus on Medicaid systems. The consultant will be responsible for developing and troubleshooting software, working with various technologies, and delivering projects using different methodologies. The role requires the candidate to have their own equipment, as Lumen and its clients will not provide laptops or monitors. Access to a virtual desktop will be provided.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Technical Science, or five years of equivalent industry experience.
• 5+ years of technical experience with Python, JavaScript/Angular/ReactJS, JSON, REST APIs using Django/FastAPI, and SQL/No-SQL databases.
• Medicaid system project experience.
• Experience writing complex SQL queries.
• Experience on AWS.
• Experience with profiling and troubleshooting software defects and fixing them.
• Experience delivering in waterfall, scrum, agile, and other methodologies.

Nice To Haves

• Knowledge of healthcare insurance principles and processes.
• Medicaid Management Information System (MMIS) experience.
• Experience on Django or similar Python web frameworks.
• Any UI/UX certification.
• Development experience with any Rules Engines.

Responsibilities
