About The Position

As a Software Engineer on the Connectors team, you will design, build, and maintain the connectors that integrate our platform with external ERP and accounts payable systems, while also contributing to our core application. You will own features end-to-end — design, coding, testing, and documentation — working independently with general guidance and collaborating closely with product, QA, and fellow engineers to ship reliable, well-tested software.

Requirements

• Solid software development experience at an intermediate level, comfortable working independently on moderately complex work.
• Strong engineering fundamentals (backend and/or full-stack) with the ability to learn new languages and tools quickly, we value strong engineers over an exact stack match.
• Experience building or consuming APIs and integrating systems.
• A test-first mindset with attention to code quality, documentation, and maintainability.
• Good communication and collaboration skills.

Nice To Haves

• Prior experience in the ERP connector or accounts payable (AP) domain.
• Hands-on experience with PHP, TypeScript, or AWS (our primary stack).
• Familiarity with integration patterns, messaging/queues, or cloud-native services.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain connectors/integrations between our platform and third-party ERP and AP systems.
• Contribute to core application development alongside connector work.
• Own features end-to-end: design, implementation, testing, and documentation, working independently on moderately complex problems.
• Write clean, maintainable, well-tested code and uphold strong engineering practices (code review, automated testing, clear documentation).
• Troubleshoot and resolve production issues, including integration and data-flow problems.
• Document software changes in line with departmental and Engineering Change procedures.
• Collaborate across product, QA, and stakeholders, and keep your knowledge of relevant tools and techniques current.
