Software Engineer - Atlas
About The Position
As a Software Engineer on the Atlas Systems Software team at Boston Dynamics, you’ll help deliver solutions with Atlas, our humanoid robot, to existing and new markets. This role is for you if you: Enjoy working in a fast-paced environment Are comfortable rapidly prototyping and iterating on solutions Thrive on working independently and on a variety of products In this role, your work will directly improve the core product, as well as accelerate the rest of the product development team. To thrive in this role, you’ll need to be thoughtful in designs, speedy in execution, and collaborate well with a dynamic, multi-disciplinary team. Requirements
- Bachelor’s of Master’s Degree in Computer Science or related field
- Good knowledge of Linux, Object Oriented programming, and real time programming concepts
- Intermediate experience with programming languages, such as python, C/C++, Go or Rust.
- Minimum 1 year of software experience.
Responsibilities
- Design, implement and test key software features in dynamic, high rate and fault tolerate real-time systems.
- Collaborate with teammates - other engineers, product, and operations - to understand key pain points and develop possible solutions.
- Debug and resolve important issues, and conduct post-mortems to prevent similar issues from happening in the future.
