We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented ATLAS Paralegal to serve as a vital first point of contact for clients seeking legal assistance. This role offers the opportunity to work alongside dedicated attorneys and program leaders to ensure high-quality, compassionate legal support reaches those who need it most.
Requirements
- High school diploma (or equivalent)
- At least 2 years of relevant experience
- Working knowledge of legal principles and terminology
- Working knowledge of legal research methods
- Working knowledge of court systems and procedures
- Working knowledge of legal issues affecting low-income populations
Nice To Haves
- Associate’s degree or Paralegal Certificate
Responsibilities
- Receiving and processing referrals for legal assistance
- Conducting intake and initial client interviews with professionalism and empathy
- Evaluating and organizing client information to determine eligibility for services
- Collaborating with attorneys, program directors, and regional staff to ensure efficient case handling
- Maintaining accurate and thorough documentation of client interactions
- Helping ensure every eligible client receives timely and appropriate legal support
