As a Software Engineer Associate within PNC's Retail Tech Employee Chan/Del organization, you will be based in Birmingham, AL or Pittsburgh, PA. PNC is an in-office company that fosters a supportive culture where employees can thrive and achieve balance. Requirements

  • Basic programming experience in one or more languages such as Java, Python, C#, or JavaScript.
  • Understanding of software development fundamentals (OOP, data structures, algorithms).
  • Familiarity with databases and basic SQL.
  • Knowledge of version control systems such as Git.
  • Strong problem solving and analytical skills.
  • Ability to work effectively in a team environment.
  • Strong attention to detail and willingness to learn vulnerability management processes.
  • Ability to help track vulnerability remediation activities and follow up on open items.
  • Strong organizational skills with the ability to update tracking systems and maintain accurate records.
  • Solution oriented mindset with the ability to ask questions, identify blockers, and support next steps.
  • Basic understanding of application support, infrastructure, databases, or software development concepts.
  • Basic problem solving and analytical skills, with a willingness to learn technical and risk related processes.

Responsibilities

  • Assists in the development, testing, and implementation of software solutions.
  • Assists with designing software solutions.
  • Writes code, tests and deploys software.
  • Prepares technical and procedural documentation required for software.
  • Maintains and debugs software.
