About The Position

The role is with a high-growth, Series A-backed artificial intelligence company in the commercial real estate sector. The company provides an enterprise-grade AI platform that automates complex CRE workflows by connecting email, financial models, presentation decks, and property databases. It has secured multi-year enterprise contracts with global commercial brokerages and is scaling to meet market demand. The Software Engineer will design, build, and deploy AI-driven products and agentic systems for enterprise users. The role involves taking end-to-end ownership of product features, working directly with users and domain experts to understand workflows, and translating those needs into practical technical solutions. The engineer will also develop evaluation frameworks and context-management strategies, and assess emerging LLM models, frameworks, and agent paradigms. This is a full-time, on-site position at the company's SoHo office in New York City, five days per week. The role offers the opportunity to work alongside founding leadership and help define product architecture for enterprise AI applications.

Requirements

  • Demonstrated experience shipping production-level software with autonomous LLM agents or workflows at its core.
  • Ability to own features end-to-end without relying on static product specifications or partial hand-offs.
  • Ability to explain and defend technical design decisions involving context management, system evaluation, framework selection, and agent harnesses.
  • Proactive interest in testing new models, agentic frameworks, and AI tools as they are released.
  • Ability to quickly learn complex domain expertise, such as financial underwriting or commercial real estate logic, and translate it into technical specifications.
  • Ability to work full-time on-site five days per week at the SoHo office in New York City.

Responsibilities

  • Design, build, and deploy agent-centric software architectures and end-to-end AI workflows beyond basic conversational interfaces.
  • Own the full product development lifecycle, from understanding end-user pain points through architectural design, implementation, and deployment.
  • Develop and maintain robust evaluation frameworks, select evaluation harnesses, and implement context-management strategies, including context-window optimization, filtering, and retrieval.
  • Collaborate directly with industry domain experts to translate complex workflow logic into structured system requirements, prompts, and evaluation metrics.
  • Benchmark, test, and reassess emerging LLM models, frameworks, and agent paradigms to improve system performance.

Benefits

  • Competitive base salary and equity packages reflecting early-stage growth.
  • Comprehensive health, dental, and vision insurance options.
  • Opportunity to work directly alongside founding leadership in a high-density, collaborative environment.
  • Direct involvement in defining product architecture for enterprise AI applications.
