About The Position
Rengo AI is seeking a Software Engineer, Applied AI to join their AI-native data platform for alternative investment managers. This role involves working directly with asset managers and portfolio companies to build custom AI-powered data solutions. The engineer will own end-to-end delivery from discovery to production, curate customer-specific technical roadmaps, and heavily utilize LLMs/agents on internal infrastructure. This is a high-autonomy position working with the founding team.
Requirements
- 1-6+ yrs software engineering experience
- Interest in customer-facing applied AI / forward-deployed work
- Python backend + React experience
- Experience with LLMs in production
- Comfort with ambiguity
Responsibilities
- Work directly with asset managers and portfolio companies to build custom AI-powered data solutions
- Own end-to-end delivery from discovery to production (Python, FastAPI, Temporal, React)
- Curate customer-specific technical roadmaps: part PM, part engineer
- Use LLMs/agents heavily on AI-native internal infra
