Software Engineer, Agents

Mirage•New York, NY
•$175,000 - $300,000•Onsite

About The Position

Mirage is an AI video company focused on making creation easier through multimodal agents, rendering engines, and generative video models. Its technology comes together in Captions, a creative workspace for generating, editing, and designing video. Tesseract provides AI agents with native video-editing capabilities, and developers can integrate Mirage’s models through APIs. This role focuses on designing and building agentic systems for creative short-form video workflows. The engineer will help build agents that take creative actions on users’ behalf, reduce friction, accelerate learning, and unlock new creative possibilities. The role spans product, machine-learning, and systems engineering, with ownership of meaningful problems from end to end and contributions to how agents are built and deployed across the product. Mirage is hiring engineers who have operated at senior or staff+ scope, although it does not use hierarchical titles or levels internally. Most roles require in-person work at the company’s New York City headquarters in Union Square.
