About The Position

Reddit is seeking a senior backend software engineer to build app conversion signals that power its app advertising business. The role focuses on MMP integrations, SKAN processing, and App CAPI, improving the reliability and usability of app installs and in-app events for advertisers. The engineer will improve systems and diagnostics that help advertisers measure campaign performance and support downstream advertising systems.

Requirements

• Demonstrated senior-level backend software engineering experience delivering and operating scalable production systems.
• Hands-on app ads signals or mobile measurement experience, with depth in MMP integrations, SKAN, or app conversion APIs.
• Strong programming, API design, distributed systems, and SQL skills.
• Independent problem-solving and data-investigation skills.
• Clear communication and a record of delivering results with cross-functional teams and stakeholders.

Responsibilities

• Own backend projects across MMP, SKAN, and App CAPI, from requirements and design through implementation, rollout, and ongoing operation.
• Build scalable ingestion and processing services with clear contracts, validation, deduplication, failure recovery, and data lineage.
• Develop integration tooling and diagnostics to help advertisers and partners identify and resolve signal delivery problems.
• Analyze signal quality and delivery metrics, investigate discrepancies, and prioritize improvements with product and data science partners.
• Work with partner engineering and downstream consumers to evolve schemas and integrations without disrupting existing advertisers.
• Incorporate privacy and security requirements into system design and maintain controls throughout the data lifecycle.
• Raise engineering quality through testing, design reviews, incident learning, and mentorship.
