About The Position

Netflix is hiring software engineers and distributed systems engineers to work on core backend systems that directly impact its API platform, messaging, personalization, sign-up, partnership, payments, and billing systems. Engineers in this function solve challenging problems with direct business impact across complex distributed systems and work cross-functionally to drive large projects throughout their lifecycle, from identifying problems to launching solutions in production.

Requirements

6–8+ years of professional experience designing, building, and shipping software.
Skilled in object-oriented programming and able to write excellent code.
Proficient in systems design.
Experience working with large-scale, low-latency distributed systems.
Able to work through ambiguity, multitask effectively, and lead cross-functional projects.
Effective written and verbal communication skills, strong listening skills, and a willingness to give others an opportunity to express themselves.
Self-driven, impact-oriented, proactive, and able to move quickly or pivot as product needs change.

Responsibilities

Design, build, and ship software.
