About The Position

Captivation Software is seeking a senior-level software engineer to assist with daily responsibilities. The engineering team develops and continually improves solutions in support of the mission to protect the country. This position is open to direct hires only; candidates from third-party staffing or recruiting firms will not be considered.

Requirements

• Must be a U.S. citizen and currently hold a Top Secret/SCI U.S. Government security clearance with a favorable polygraph.
• Twenty years of experience as a software engineer on programs and contracts of similar scope, type, and complexity.
• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or a related discipline from an accredited college or university; four years of software engineering experience on projects with similar software processes may substitute for the degree.
• Experience using the Linux command-line interface.
• Experience developing microservices using Java and Spring.
• Experience with containerization technologies, including Docker and containers.
• Experience with container orchestration technologies such as Kubernetes.
• Experience using system monitoring tools, including Grafana and Prometheus.
• Experience using Git for version control.

Nice To Haves

• Experience with continuous integration and continuous delivery principles and tools such as GitLab CI and ArgoCD.
• Experience with OpenSearch or Elasticsearch for data indexing and retrieval.
• Experience with NiFi for dataflow management and ingestion.
• Experience with the Amazon HCI platform.
• Strong debugging, documentation, and communication skills.
• Ability to work effectively in an Agile development environment and on a multidisciplinary team.
